I-74 Reconstruction Project

Synthesizing historic precedent, regional sensitivity, and modern necessity, JLA designed a unique aesthetic program for the reconstruction of an 11-mile stretch of Illinois Interstate 74 passing through Peoria. Counsel from several sources, including a local citizens group, highway design standards, and local geology served as inspiration for the design of bridge abutments, fences, interchanges, landscaping, lighting, noise barriers, parapets, railings and retaining walls.
