Historic Railroad Bridge Survey

In response to a nation-wide threat to aging railroad infrastructure, JLA led A/E consulting team and were employed to conduct a comprehensive survey of historic railroad bridges for the City of Chicago. The study included historic research, physical documentation, photographs, and assessment of significance for each structure. The final report was to aid in designation of those bridges most important to the city’s industrial heritage and to guide future preservation efforts.
