UIUC Natural History Building Study

University of Illinois, Natural History Building Study

As part of a retainer contract with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, JLA prepared an Assessment and Development Plan for the adaptation and continued use of the University’s Natural History Building. The study included two main components: 1) an infrastructure portion composed of an assessment of the work required to bring the building into compliance with current building codes and modern building systems, and 2) a programming portion composed of a phased program and space plans to illustrate future uses by the new UIUC College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences.
