Glessner House Courtyard & Exterior Restoration

JLA generated a comprehensive historic structure report for this National Historic Landmark designed by architect H.H. Richardson. The report became the basis for a $250,000 Getty Conservation Grant. The resulting Courtyard Restoration project, directed by JLA, returned the central space to its original appearance. Work included tile roof restoration and cleaning, reconstruction of the historic granite drive, curved masonry porch, and original kitchen porch, and the restoration of the original wood windows. A subsequent project led by JLA focused on rehabilitation of the coach house.
