As director of historic preservation at Holabird & Root, Walker Johnson and coworker Bill Grosche oversaw the restoration of the interior and exterior of the Chicago Cultural Center. After the formation of Johnson Lasky Architects, Mr. Johnson and Mr. Grosche were again employed by CCC, this time to review options for the restoration of the building’s two Tiffany stained-glass domes. JLA performed extensive research on the existing conditions of the domes and created a restoration plan and schematic design.
