A historically insensitive addition to this historic farmhouse and need for a more functional plan was the impetus for this rehabilitation project. JLA was brought aboard for full master planning and design services for the residence. Space planning and programming led to a tightly organized parti and devleopment of the design was based upon historical precedence. The new addition, a modernized version of the original house was placed directly behind the historic structure and connected to it via a skylight-illuminated service corridor. Kitchen, family room, and bedrooms were created with the new wing while exterior terraces were also added to integrate the building into its scenic landscape.
