In keeping with the university custom, this 1895 U of C residence was studied and renovated to meet the needs of each newly-elected president. During a recent transition, JLA was employed to conduct such a condition assessment and to address other issues concerning the property’s function as a venue for several large social events. Recommendations and accompanying cost estimate addressed deteriorated building components, issues in code compliance, and accommodation of the new president’s program.
